Welcome to the website for the newest and most energetic band to hit the Tidewater
area:
DECIBEL “The Ultimate Metal Experience”
We’re glad you found your way here, because
this is where you need to be in order to learn a bit more about us and what we have in store for all you crazy head-bangers.
This
band has been under construction for over 3 years. It began as the brain-child of frontman Robbie Steele and former lead guitarist
Paul Muir. For over two years they tried combinations of musicians and just couldn’t find what they were looking for.
In the spring of 2005 they found a drummer by the name of JP. This dude rocked and truly did earn the name of “JP Ironhorse”.
From there began a mission to find his comrade in arms on the bass. They auditioned several bass players but just couldn’t
find the guy who could make the cut. However, they were lucky enough to find a very intense 2nd lead guitarist that Steele
has dubbed “Paulie Paisano”. Paulie “nails” the definition of precision and accuracy. So onward they
strived, and out of a hiatus of stepping away from the music scene, came this very laid-back and soft-spoken gent by the name
of “Brian D.” Most bass players today, (young and old), could learn a few things from this guy. Can anyone say
Geddy Lee, John Myung, or Steve Harris? Finally, this project was complete or so they thought. Having recently re-married
and with news of a new baby on the way, they found themselves parting with one of the two core members of the band, Paul Muir.
The decision was a very painful one, but it was for the best. The remaining 4 guys never gave up the dedication to the original
goal of bringing the most kick-ass band possible, to the Tidewater area and beyond. Thanks to MONTHS of patience and running
several ads, who would have imagined that Brian’s oldest daughter would have the missing link ……..one of
her college professors named JC. Prior to this, the guys in Decibel didn’t want to add someone who wasn’t able
to become a part of the family and so they hadn’t. Patience paid off when they found JC to be another musician with
the same desire as the rest of them. He’s been dubbed “The Professor” and with good cause, because his intentions
are just as deadly as Paulie’s. Now packing 2 killer guitarists’ and a deafening, heart-thumping rhythm section.
Let us tell you what you’re in store for.
Fronted by “The Lost Angel of Rock-n-Roll” you will experience
the most intense, precise, and energetic show to come to any area since the 80’s or 90’s. Presented to you now
in the new millennium and beyond, these guys want you to drift back in time with tunes that only the original bands could
have displayed with the energy that they deserved. If you like metal from your yesteryear or now you’ll love this show.
